Metabolism Boosting Smoothie

I am a smoothie junkie! 
What is there not to like about them? 
Quick, easy, delicious, and healthy are always key points I look for when stirring up something in the kitchen. 
When it comes to breakfast, a smoothie always hits the spot. 
This metabolism boosting smoothie is one of my favorite morning treats not only because it is filling and yummy but it kicks your metabolism into gear to gets your body working properly first thing in the a.m.

What You Need:
6 ounces vanilla non fat Greek yogurt
8 almonds
1/4 cup broccoli florets (no stems)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup garbanzo beans
3/4 cup iced green tea
1 teaspoon flaxmeal
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

What You Do:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
Pour into a glass and garnish with a dash of cinnamon. Enjoy!

  6. Oooh, garbanzo beans in a smoothie is totally new to me! Do they totally mix in or are you still finding the 'shells' stuck in the straw?

    1. You need to have a really good blender if not you can throw them in a food processor first =)

  7. I love trying different smoothie ingredients. Never thought to use broccoli or gabanzo beans. Sounds good especially if it's boosts your metabolism.
