Heavenly Cream Puffs

I don't know about you but around these parts, we love ourselves some dessert!
Although we do have many favorites I think cream puffs definitely are on the top 3 list.
Of course we can not indulge in desserts as often as we'd like but when we do, we go all out.
After receiving this amazing and easy cream puff recipe from a friend I thought it just wouldn't be right for me to keep it all to myself and not share it with all of you.
So here you have it, heavenly cream puffs, from this kitchen to yours!

What You Need For The Cream:
1 cup Sugar
3/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. sea salt
3 cups milk
3 egg yolks
2 tbs butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup heavy cream

What You Do:
In a sauce pan combine the sugar, flour and salt while whisking.

Slowly add milk being sure to mix all together well.
In another bowl whisk your egg yolks and add to the mixture that is in the sauce pan, combine all well.
Bring all the ingredients in your sauce pan to a boil over medium high heat. Be sure to continuously stir until you get a pudding like consistency.
Remove your sauce pan from the heat once you form your pudding like mixture and add butter and vanilla until the butter is melted.
Once the butter has melted make sure your mixture is cooled completely. Wahla! this is your custard! To make it that light creamy texture just take a 1/2 cup of heavy cream and whip it...whip it good to form  peaks folding the heavy cream into the custard that you created.
Place your cream in a plastic ziplock bag, Cut one of the corners off the bag and you are all set for filling up your cream puff.
What You Need For The Puff:

1/2 cup of butter
1 Cup of water
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1 cup flour
4 Eggs

What You Do:
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. In a sauce pan combine butter, salt and water and bring it all to a boil.

Add the flour to the sauce pan and get a ball to form.
Take your sauce pan off the heat and let your mixture cool off for about 5 minutes.
After cooling start beating in one egg at a time (be sure to mix well after each added egg)
After your 4th egg you should have a smooth looking mixture
On a parchment covered baking sheet place your mixture by the spoonful.
Bake that yumminess for 40 minutes at 400 degrees.
After 40 minutes remove your puffs from the oven and let those babies cool.
Cut each puff in half and add the homemade cream you made that you placed in the ziplock bag. Toss some powdered sugar on those bad boys and you got yourself an irresistible dessert that everyone will enjoy!
Are you a cream puff fan?
Did you know that they were this easy to make?!
