Top Makeup Picks That You Need In Your Life

There are more makeup products out there right now than there are selfies on Instagram. It's only natural to get a bit overwhelmed while standing in one of the many makeup aisles at your local Target, juggling 15 different lip glosses at once #thestruggleisreal. Well today hopefully by sharing my favorite products with you after years of testing one brand after the next, together we can take the struggle out of makeup shopping for good.

Foundation- I like a foundation that doesn't feel heavy yet has full coverage. Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse is just that. They carry a variety of different shades for you to choose from (I usually have one shade for the winter seasons and one for the summer seasons) and it stays put all day.

Concealer- Early mornings and late nights filled with work calls for a heavy duty concealer for those dark under eye circles. This is where Benefit's Erase Paste comes in and saves the day. Complete and total coverage that lasts until you wash it off. It may be a bit pricey but is worth every penny. I have tried more concealers than most people have in a lifetime and nothing compares to this product. From blemishes to raccoon eyes, you want this baby in your makeup arsenal.

Loose Powder- I always brush some Maybelline shine free loose powder on my face after applying any foundation and/or concealer. It helps makeup stay where its at and reduces shine. Just a little dusting of this over your nose, chin, and forehead half way through the day and you are looking fresh and grease free.

Bronzer- Prestige illuminating bronzing powder is my go to bronzer. It looks natural when applied properly and gives you a healthy glow. It doesn't have all that sparkly nonsense in it, so the chances of you looking like disco ball are non existent.

Eyeliner- I was an eyeliner junkie; I admit it. I tried the pencils, the gel, the powder, everything! It wasn't until I was introduced to MAC fluidline eyeliner that I fell in love. This eyeliner is super easy to apply with the MAC 209 brush and it lasts. The jar may look small and a bit pricey but I kid you not, I have had mine for over a year and I have yet to run out and purchase a new one. I use it everyday and I still do not need to purchase more, unheard of! This product gets two big thumbs up in my book.

Eyeshadow- Oh e.l.f. how I love you. Insanely inexpensive and great quality is something that you rarely hear of these days, but when it comes to e.l.f. flawless eyeshadow, it totally makes the cut. Not only is it great for a tight budget, but it comes in a set of four different shades. Each shade is marked as base, lid, crease, or line so it takes the guess work out of which color should go where. Lastly you don't get those horrible lid crease lines that most eyeshadows leave behind.

Mascara- Maybelline volume express falsies is where it's at! My lashes look fuller, thicker, and longer. It doesn't flake or clump = A+

Blush- I never wore blush until I met Cover Girl contouring blush. The colors look a bit bold in the compact, but when applied, it looks natural and gives you just the perfect amount of color. Best part is that the compact has three different color shades which makes contouring a breeze.

Lipstick- I rarely ever wear lipstick but when I do it is Revlon's colorburst lip butter in creamsicle. It's natural and never dries out your lips. Aside from going on smooth and never bleeding it keeps my lips hydrated, win win for me!

Lip Gloss- I am much more of a lip gloss fan than I am a lipstick fan so when I found Revlon's super lustrous lip gloss in peach petal, my heart went pitter patter. It goes on smooth and isn't sticky like most glosses. I choose this color because it is natural and does not have a sparkle in it, because who wants to wear sparkle lip gloss, unless you are 5 which in that case you wouldn't be reading this post.

There it is! Cupcakes & Crossbones top makeup picks. Do you use any of these products or have you used any in the past? What are your top makeup picks?
