Bring The Spa To You For Pennies!

Why go to the spa and spend ridiculous amounts of money when you can bring the spa to you. There are tons of great ways to get yourself lookin and feelin good in the comfort of your own home for pennies! Whether it is a relaxing night alone or a romantic evening with that special someone, here are some great ideas to create your own relaxing spa treatments.

Hair:
Create a hydrating and repair hair mask with 2 ingredients from your kitchen.
-1 tablespoon honey
-3 tablespoons olive oil
-Combine the 2 ingredients in a small microwaveable bowl and place in the microwave for 30 seconds.
-Massage the mixture through wet hair and let it sit for 30 minutes.
-Wash hair with shampoo 2x's for shiny, healthy, and soft hair.
Body:
Create a relaxing bath with 2 ingredients that will sooth your skin as well as your mind.
-1 cup rosewater
-1 cup coconut milk
-Run a warm bath and pour your 2 ingredients in. Light some candles and put on some relaxing music to enhance your relaxation time.
Legs:
Cypress and Citrus Cellulite Body Oil
(Used to stimulate skin and increase circulation)
-1/2 cup coconut oil
-20 drops juniper essential oil
-11 drpos cypress essential oil
-17 drpops lemongrass essential oil
-5 drops rosemary essential oil
-add each oil one at a time to a mason jar
-Slowly pour coconut oil into the jar as well
-Close jar and roll jar between your hands
-Let mixture sit for at least 1 hour
-Use on legs only after your bath or shower while skin is still slightly wet
Feet:
On your feet all day? This home treatment is the ticket to soft and relaxed feet!
-Get a large bucket/bowl or something that both of your feet will fit in comfortably
-3 tablespoons coconut oil
-3 tablespoons mixed spice
-3 tablespoons coconut milk
-Place all ingredients into your bucket/bowl and then fill with warm water
-Soak your feet in the mixture as desired.
-Towel dry and then apply a bit of coconut oil and socks
-Leave socks on as long as you would like to absorb the oil (be sure not to slip with oil or the mixture on your feet)
Face:
Strawberry Yogurt Mask
This mask works great at getting rid of dead skin cells, removing impurities, reducing redness, and minimizing pores due to its salicylic acid in the strawberries.
-4 Strawberries
-Single serve of plain Greek yogurt
-Puree in a food processor or blender
-Apply the yogurt/strawberry mixture with clean finger tips or a paint brush
-Let mixture sit until slightly dry and wash off with warm water patting dry
Lips:
Use this lip scrub to get smooth soft kissable lips!
-Petroleum Jelly
-Raw sugar
-Place a bit of petroleum jelly on your finger tip with a pinch of sugar
-Rub it on your lips to exfoliate all dead skin
-Wipe of the sugar mixure with a towel and apply a dab of petroleum jelly by itself to your lips.
NOTE: Please do not use any of these if you are allergic to one or more of the ingredients. Please be sure to test a portion of your skin with the product first to make sure you do not have a negative reaction as everyones skin is different. Please also do not use cellulite oil mixture if pregnant or have a medical condition before consulting a doctor as it is used to stimulate and increase circulation

  4. Those beauty recipes sound amazing! I used to make my own natural stuff all the time. I am not a huge fan of face masks because of all the chemicals so I would make an oatmeal/honey face mask and it worked wonders without being hard on my sensitive skin. I need to try making my own natural beauty products again.

    1. Hey girl! Yes! No chemicals and all of that extra junk they throw into products that you purchase at the store. Some of the recipes I started using a while back in my high school/college days and then I just improved them as time went on. Others I learned from friends and family memebers who were nice enough to let me in on their secret beauty recipes!
