Copycat Red Lobster Biscuits, Big Mac, and Chipotle Barbacoa Recipes

Have you ever sat down at a restaurant and wondered 'how the heck do they make this delicious piece of heaven on a plate?' I know I have and after much research and much taste testing I have found three of my most favorite foods among many that I was able to recreate at home. One of them is even a healthier version of what you would get when ordering out!

Red Lobster Copycat Biscuits

What you need:
-2 cups Bisquick buttermilk biscuit mix
-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
-2/3 cup milk
-2 Tbsp. melted butter
-2 tsp. dried oregano
-1/4 tsp. garlic salt

What you do:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
In a big bowl, combine Bisquick, shredded cheese, and garlic.
Next add your milk and stir that baby up!
Grab your greased baking sheet and drop spoon fulls of dough (it should be very sticky) onto your baking sheet.
Bake for about 12 minutes or until the tops of your biscuits get slightly brown.
As the biscuits are a bakin, mix your melted butter, oregano, and garlic salt in a bowl.
Once your biscuits are done cooking, take them out of the oven and brush the tops of them with your butter mixture.
Let them cool slightly before eating. Place your biscuits into a bread basket and serve.
Love at first bite!

Healthier Big Mac Copycat

What you need:
Sauce
-1/2 cup low fat mayo
-1/4 cup Ketchup
-1 tsp Dijon mustard
-2  Tbsp dill pickles (diced)
-1/4 cup onion (minced)
What you do:
Mix the mayo, ketchup and mustard until completely blended
Add in your pickles and onions and put mixture in the refrigerator until needed
Now all you have to do is grill up your own turkey or veggie burgers, grab some whole wheat burger buns, and add a few slices of tomato, shredded lettuce, and dig in!

Copycat Chipotle Barbacoa

What you need:
-1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
-4 tsp garlic cloves (minced)
-4 tsp cumin
-2 tsp oregano
-1 tsp black pepper
-1 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp ground cloves
-2  Tbsp vegetable oil
-3/4 cup chicken broth
-3 bay leaves
-3  Tbsp lime juice
-3 chipotle chiles in adobo
-4 lbs chuck roast

What you do:
Start out making your sauce by combining vinegar, lime juice, chipotles, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, black pepper, salt and cloves in a blender until it is super smooth and yummy looking.
Chop the fatty pieces off of your roast (unless you are into that kinda thing...yuck!) and then chop it into about 6-7 chunks
With the oil nice and hot in your frying pan, sear each side of your meat until it is nice and brown.
Grab your Crockpot and pour the sauce that you first made in your blender on top of your seared roast pieces. Lastly add your chicken broth and bay leaves on top of your combo as well.
Set your Crockpot on high for 6 hours or put it on low all day as you are running errands or busy around your house.
Once your Crockpot is done working its magic, grab 2 forks and shred your meat in the crockpot
then add it to your hard or soft shell tortillas. Top your taco with some yummy guac, sour cream, black beans, and or rice.
Ole!
